RELEASE OVERVIEW

Icinga 2 v2.16.1 Bugfix Release

Version 2.16 brought a solid set of improvements, but also introduced a regression that we caught shortly after the release. The rework of several performance data writers in 2.16.0 caused issues that in some cases could prevent Icinga 2 from working entirely. Affected writers include ElasticsearchWriter, GraphiteWriter, GelfWriter, InfluxdbWriter, Influxdb2Writer, and OpenTsdbWriter.

We moved quickly to address it: Icinga 2.16.1 reverts those writers to their v2.15.3 state while we continue investigating the root cause. If you are running 2.16.0, upgrading to 2.16.1 is the right move. All details are in the release announcement.
